Route Driver

As a route driver/service laborer for Moon Portable Restrooms, you’ll enjoy the summer sun behind the wheel of a company-provided truck delivering and servicing portable sanitation equipment. Along with great wages and plenty of overtime opportunities, a route driver benefits from learning a new trade with extensive hands-on training and cutting-edge equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Abide by all D.O.T. regulations, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork daily including D.O.T. logs, work orders, and route sheets.
  • Deliver, service, and pick-up portable sanitation equipment in small and/or large quantities.
  • Maintain assigned routes with a positive attitude while also maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with the dispatch center.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Communication, listening, and observation skills are essential to identifying customer needs.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Dependable and punctual qualities are of utmost importance.
  • Ability to lift and move loads that weigh up to 80 lbs. regularly and repeatedly.
  • Mapping and navigation skills are a plus, but not required for hire.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Insurable driving record with knowledge of Department of Transportation safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to work all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Current D.O.T. medical examiner’s certificate. (We can help you get the certificate if you don’t have it.)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Living a drug-free lifestyle is a must.
  • Availability to work all days of the week.
  • Clean MVR, background, and drug screen.
  • A D.O.T. physical card. (We can help you get this card after hiring.)
